A respected educational leader, Madelyn has a long and distinguished career in the vocational education sector.

Madelyn’s teaching career began in TAFE 35 years ago in access and vocational courses for young people with disability. During her career in vocational education, Madelyn has held teaching, Manager, Director and Dean roles at Chisholm, South West TAFE, Victoria University and Swinburne University.

Madelyn returned to Swinburne University (where her teaching career began) in 2021 and is now proud to lead the vocational education portfolio at Swinburne, as the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive.

Madelyn is a strong believer in the power of dual sector universities and has a particular focus on improving access to training pathways for learners in a future world of work defined by transferability, technology and innovation.
